Yemen Prez : Afewerki ready for dialogue with
Ethiopia, Sudan
KHARTOUM,
Dec 27 (Saba)- The Presidents of Yemen and Sudan and the Prime Minister of
Ethiopia held a press conference in Khartoum on Monday as the third summit of
the forum that groups their countries closed.
The leaders of the Sana'a Forum for Cooperation discussed an initiative from
Yemen to resolve dispute between the countries of the Horn of Africa region
especially the Sudan-Eritrea dispute.
President Saleh announced that during his talks with Eritrean President Isaias
Afworki, he found him to be ready for dialogue with Sudan and Ethiopia.
He contended that Yemen would continue to patch up the differences between
Eritrea with the two countries.
In a
related matter, it is also to be noted that at the
conclusion of Afwerki' visit to Yemen, in a press conference he held, President
Ali Abdalla Saleh underlined the fact that in order for secure peace and
stability to prevail in the region, it is imperative to abide by international
laws and rulings and that "dialogue should come before the outbreak of war
and going to court, calling for dialogue after the fact of conflict can only
