UNSC votes to keep Eritrea Ruler on sanctions agenda, threat to int'l peace & security
18 November, 2020
United Nations, New York - On Thursday, 12 Nov 2020, the UN Security Council decided without objection to keep Eritrea Ruler, tyrant Isias Aforqi, on its agenda re the tyrant's border and POWs dispute with Djibouti.
The Resolution requests the Secretary-General to provide the Security Council with an update, no later than the 31 July 2021 on any further developments towards the normalization of relations between Eritrea and Djibouti. This action was incorporated in a resolution concerning the Situation in Somalia.
The Council's move to keep Eritrea Ruler on its sanctions agenda dismayed China and Russia, who were banking on dealing with tyrant on trust basis! They don't get it how a matter that has nothing to do with the issue at hand is incorporated in the said Resolution! No problem, the UK was right there to explain it all! More below.
