Eritrea Ruler bows to UN demands, sanctions lifted, still under UN watch re Djibouti 18 November 2018
United Nations, New York, 14 Nov 2018 - After nearly a decade of utterly futile defiance and denial, Eritrea Ruler, tyrant Isias Aforqi, at long last bowed to and capitulated to the demands of the UN Security Council Sanctions, got the sanctions lifted on 14 Nov 2018 but remains under close watch of the Council regarding Djibouti border dispute including POWs via regular reporting by the Secretary General to the Security Council starting 15 Feb 2019 and every six months thereafter as expressed as follows in the resolution adopted on said date:
" 57. Requests the Secretary General to keep the Security Council informed of developments towards the normalisation of relations between Eritrea and Djibouti and to report to the Security Council no later than 15 February 2019 and every six months thereafter, and expresses its intention to keep this request under review in light of developments; 58. Decides to remain seized of the matter"
The lifting of the sanctions is kind of a blessing in disguise for it deprives the tyrant his last excuse for subjecting the people and country of Eritrea to decades of tyrannical reign, committing crimes against humanity, blatant violation of Human Rights, and indefinite military conscription!
