Ethiopia-US Relations: Tillerson praises transition to democracy, calls for peace

The first stop of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's first Africa trip this week (7 - 13 March 2018) was the seat of the African Union, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. There, Mr. Tillerson's words were music to the ears of Ethiopian Government: Although he expressed reservation about the State of Emergency, Tillerson praised Ethiopia's journey towards democracy and pleaded with the people of Ethiopia to cooperate with the process peacefully and to avoid violence, CGTN's Grum Chala reports from Addis Ababa:
