Burundi First to Quit ICC but No Scape from Justice, What thinketh Eritrea tyrant!
30 October 2017
Last week, Burundi and its president became first in Africa to quit the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) effective Friday, 27 October 2017 in an attempt to escape ICC's investigation by the ICC for crimes against humanity. Upon inquiry by journalists, ICC has confirmed that quitting the ICC neither exonerates Nkurunziza nor stops the ongoing ICC investigation or negates ICC's jurisdiction over Nkurunziza's matter.
Eritrea tyrant, Isas Afarqi, is in the same position for the same reasons-the Report of a UN mandated Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in Eritrea (COI) that found the tyrant guilty of Crimes against humanity among other things has been tabled now awaiting action-and is not only aware of it but has mentioned it to the nation on his propaganda TV station, ERiTV, during recent address to the nation on one National Occasion. Now that Presdient Pierre Nkurunziza has bid goodbye to the ICC, what Eritrea tyrant thinketh about it is a reasonable question to ponder? Below Al Jazeera Video News on this matter:
